This is our vacation home as well as yours.
We are parents and grandparents, so we've taken extra precautions for small
children such as installing gates at the top and bottom of the stairs with night lights so
that the little ones can be secured in either area. There is even a portable gate
for blocking off individual rooms if you wish. Every electrical outlet in the house
has child proof protectors/covers installed. Night lights are in all bathrooms,
battery powered emergency lighting shines the stairs and lower floor if there is a power
outage. Fire extinguishers are conveniently located on each floor. Fire
retardant mattress covers are on each bed.
